Nominations are now closed!

We are mostly done processing freeform nominations (with the exception of outstanding queries) and in the process of wrapping up relationship and character nomination processing, so keep an eye out for a query post sometime tomorrow evening!

I know you said you'll put out a query post- i can comment later on that, but I See witcher-all media types is still pending? and i thought i spotted witcher-tv in the tagset already? so in case you are still trying to figure out how to handle the fandom-

Feel free to disregard the following if your mind is made up how you wanna handle the fandom, no worries, but fandom is structured like this as far as i'm aware:

Witcher Video games (especially The Witcher 3) and translations of the polish book series had followings already, when Netflix drops the first season of their adaptation in late 2019.

in 2020, when a lot of folks suddenly had a lot more time on their hands at home, bunch of people watched the eight episodes or so netflix has realeased, and then immediately went to the books or especially Thew Witcher 3 videogame for more content- and the "show" fandom that emerges then is very much a blend of properties- tv show obviously, but other witcher characters in particular pulled straight out of the video games, and lots of tidbits from the books, in order to fill out the world.

filming on season 2 of the witcher is delayed long enough that this fusion fandom really takes off.

eventually seasons 2 and 3 of the tv show come out, and they use names of some of the other witchers, but they take character and plot in pretty different directions, and the fandom does some splitting between people who incorporate the show versions and plots vs people who largely ignore the later seasons for fic purposes.

I personally always write in "All media types", because I use these show/game blended character sets, but i know there are parts of fandom who consider themselves show-exclusive or game/book exclusive. I prefer to be in "all media types" with a note at the top explaining what versions of characters i'm using/canon I'm using... and if "geralt/Jaskier" is indeed the only witcher-tv tag nominated, i'd say that likely fits fine in All Media Types (the character who requires explaining is, i think, Eskel), and that ship tag doesn't imply to me that the nominator is necessarily a show-exclusive-fandom person, if that makes sense?

again feel free to disregard above if you don't need or want the explainer. thanks!
