Recursive Fandoms Evidence Post: 2024

Hello Hello!

Do you have a fanwork that you would like to nominate for the AU5k Tagset as its own fandom so that you can create recursive works?

Here's the evidence post and all of the information you will need in order to be able to nominate that fanwork:
  1. You must comment on this post or email the modmail (TavinaFanfiction@gmail.com) with a link, or other publicly available evidence of the original creator's permission statement that allows for recursion to take place. This permission statement must be publicly available to someone who isn't logged into an account somewhere (ie. on the author's ao3 profile) and not a screenshot of a Tumblr or Discord DM.
    1. If you are the creator you're welcome to comment on this post to give permission!
    2. For works with multiple creators, please make sure to include permission statements from all of the creators!
  2. You must link to (and or otherwise indicate) where the fanwork can be found.
  3. Two people other than the original nominator must show up to comment their interest on that particular fanwork. This is not a binding contract that says you have to offer or request that fanwork for the exchange.
After these conditions are met I'll reply to let you know that you can nominate that particular fanwork as a fandom! :D

Why you should be interested in this fandom: Do you like aromantic, allosexual, wholesome golden retriever jocks? Do you like excellent representations of polyamory, queerplatonic relationships, and that sometimes messy, hard to define third thing that happens when you're aromantic and building relationships with others, some of whom may or may not also be aromantic and some of whom are definitely alloromantic? Do you like childhood friends to lovers? Do you want a representation of a brighter future where someone could be open about being gay to the team management of a pro sports league and be responded to with support? Then you should check out Superstition! This story was seriously life changing in that I'd never seen a representation of someone who does relationships like I do as a sympathetic character at all, much less a main character, and I absolutely want to share it with everyone. It's well written, delightful on so many fronts, and absolutely posits a bright future that I think is worth hoping and striving for. This is an original work that skirts the edges of RPF, but the main storyline only uses existing RPF personalities as set dressing - the guy on the poster on the OC Main Character's bedroom wall, the veteran presence the MC lives with his rookie year, general background veteran presences, not major characters - all the main characters and many of the minor characters are OCs, so if you're unsure about RPF this is only very minorly RPF and worth a shot.
